A brief history of the Lawns…..
From the information we have, it was believed that the original name of the building was The Lawn.

The Lawn was originally built as a family home sometime between 1871 and 1879 by Ralph Foreman.

The Foreman family were residents of Chellaston for more than 200 years.

The site was once used as a bakery for the local area.

In 1936 George Woolley lived here and used the annex as his bakery, this was also commonly known referred to as "The Wendy House".

The current owners took ownership of The Lawns in October 2009 and has since refurbished the building in its entirety, where you are guaranteed a warm welcome every time you visit.
